Real Food

Food plays a very important role at The Old Inn, and guests return again and again to savour the renowned Scottish West Coast seafood and Highland game dishes.

Head Chef Chris Bentley and his team serve up simple yet stunningly delicious dishes.

Chris mastered his love of cooking fish and wild game on the remote west Coast of Canada before moving to the Arctic where he learned to cook Caribou, Bison, and Bear for visiting dignitaries. Chris is a member of the World Master Chefs Society and was involved with the Natural Cooking of Scotland and giving many cookery demonstrations and advanced skills training. Since moving to the Highlands he has won a Rosette, appeared in numerous national magazines and press articles and also been awarded Scottish Sea Food Pub of the Year 2006.

"I put these awards down to the good staff I have managed to work with and also the fact that the world’s best produce is literally on my doorstep with the harbour just across the road and the estates around abounding with wild red deer."
